RY and Recycle Now bag prestigious film award
Recycle Week 2019 campaign film wins bronze in sustainable development category
We’re thrilled to have taken home a Bronze World Medal in the ‘Sustainable Development’ category at the New York Festivals International TV & Film Awards for our work with Recycle Now’s Recycle Week 2019 campaign.
Recycle Now’s campaign tapped into the current culture of activism across global society, shining a light on recycling and calling people to arms to take positive action on plastics use. The film built a dark, gritty, and gripping atmosphere to lend extra force to a powerful call to action delivered by just one person: ‘We’re taking it into our own hands. Are you?’.
Overall the campaign reached 16 million people online and the film has racked up nearly 400,000 views.
The film also received recognition as a finalist in the Social Good category. Elsewhere our work for GSK (Global Health Kenya) and Kaspersky (Naked Man reveals all) were finalists in the Employee Engagement & Public Relations and Social Engagement categories respectively.
The New York Festivals’ International TV & Film Awards is a highly prestigious, internationally recognised awards body which honours the next generation of storytellers. Congratulations to all of the other winners – you can see the full list here.
