Back-end Developer

We're on the lookout for a new Back-end Developer to join our growing team here at RY. This is a brilliant opportunity to join our award-winning independent creative agency in the heart of Shoreditch. Our tech team is an expanding group of multi-skilled professionals. Their interest lies in all things technology, from systems design, implementation, open source community membership, interactive web applications.

The key role of the Back-end Developer is to provide support to Senior and Lead Developers in developing projects in Umbraco and/or Kentico ensuring our thinking and designs are translated into digital solutions and products that work seamlessly, look great and are accessible. As well as working on new builds, sites and campaigns, the Back-end Developer will also work on business as usual and maintenance on existing client sites.

Responsibilities

- Hands on delivery of projects, from scoping and estimation, to prototyping back-end development, documentation, performance optimisation and quality assurance.

- Writing functional and technical specifications; including the accurate translation of project requirements and parallel work‑streams (Content & UX) into functional and technical specifications.

- Recommending and implementing best practice development.

- Providing the initial setup of projects: hands on development and troubleshooting/problem solving.

Sustainability Consultant

We are looking for a Consultant to join our market-leading sustainability offer. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of our award-winning independent creative agency in the heart of Shoreditch. RY’s sustainability consultants offer strategic and advisory services for clients all over the world to help unlock their sustainability ambitions. They specialise in making the complex simple and thinking creatively to crack all sorts of client challenges. Working together with colleagues from across the business, our sustainability consultants get close to clients to understand their brief and challenges, before crafting ingenious, insightful solutions. From developing sustainability strategies and behaviour change campaigns to sustainability and integrated reporting, we always aim to make a measurable difference, exceeding client expectations by delivering quality work every time.

Responsibilities include:

- You’ll lead the strategic thinking on allocated client work with a focus on sustainability and integrated reporting projects. This includes developing recommendations, delivering creative content strategies and setting the direction for the reporting suite alongside our creative, copywriting and client service teams for both print and digital.

- You’ll also be leading on sustainability strategy projects including materiality assessments through to strategy design and implementation.

- You’ll advise clients on the key trends, regulations, frameworks and best practices that are shaping the sustainability landscape.

- You’ll be a key contributor to pitches, marketing content and collateral, writing white papers, research projects, articles and social content, and attending events.

- You’ll set the direction for and employ a range of problem-solving approaches, including insight development (qual & quant), desk research, benchmarking, running workshops, brainstorming, report writing etc.

Project Manager

We’re looking for a smart, enthusiastic integrated Project Manager to join our Brand Engagement team here at RY. This is a brilliant opportunity to join our award-winning independent creative agency in the heart of Shoreditch. We create standout identities, campaigns, and activations for some of the world’s most exciting brands. We are looking for someone who can help us make the most of these opportunities; delivering projects to the highest quality standards, on time and on budget. Project management is the engine of the agency, responsible for balancing the need for exceptional quality with project profitability.

Responsibilities include

Project planning:

- Managing triage, including assessing feasibility, risk, team, opportunity, timing, budgets and deliverables before the work starts on any project.

- Planning and scoping the project and owning the Scope of Work (finalising time and budget). Ensure scoping takes place with the input of all required parties at RY.

Managing the commercials:

- Delivering the project to the expected profits for RY. Being the face of the project in weekly project status meetings. Also owning financial management in the eyes of the client, proactively providing regular update reports to them.

- Managing project status throughout the project lifecycle, including leading 40/80 reviews.

Resource management:

- Working with the Workflow team, and in line with company workflow practices, agree and assign the RY team required to deliver against the brief.

Client management:

- Developing a crystal clear understanding of client expectations and factoring into planning. Focused on ensuring that the quality of the deliverables meets expectations.

Junior Artworker

This is a great opportunity to join our award-winning independent creative agency at the heart of Shoreditch. As part of the Production team, you will be responsible for the artwork, QA and delivery of RY's printed collateral, as well as the creation of screen and interactive presentations, e-zines, office templates and brand assets. The Junior Artworker will set up, amend and deliver finished artwork across different software platforms, to set deadlines and an impeccable standard. You will have a strong motivation to succeed, through your collaborative nature, technical excellence, diligence and teamwork.


Responsibilities include

- Creating, amending and delivering technically sound artwork documents, utilising the most applicable software.

- Checking your own work before handing to a proofreader, and accurately interpret proofreaders’ marks and designer comments to ensuring delivery of exactly what has been requested back to the Project Manager.

- Ensuring that all key tasks such as setting up and delivering artwork, and filing work on the server, are performed in a clear, consistent and pre-defined way, and are completed accurately and within set deadlines.

Artworker

This is a great opportunity to join our award-winning independent creative agency at the heart of Shoreditch. As part of the Production team, the Artworker will be responsible for the artwork, QA and delivery of ry's printed collateral, as well as the creation of screen and interactive presentations, e-zines, Office templates and brand assets. The production team at ry are incorporated into our Investor Engagement offer, with their primary focus being corporate reporting. As an Artworker you will set up, amend and deliver finished artwork across different software platforms, to set deadlines and to an impeccable standard. You will have a strong motivation to succeed, through your collaborative nature, technical excellence, diligence and teamwork.


Responsibilities include

- Creating, amending and delivering technically sound artwork documents, utilising the most applicable software.

- At the briefing stage, or during a task, ensuring full understanding of the context of what is required and pro-actively querying any potential issues.

- Being responsible for the technical checking of your own artwork going to press, obtaining internal sign-off from the project team, requesting all relevant technical information, and providing production specification sheets and paper proofs to the Print department.

- Ensuring all artwork requirements are completed accurately and on time, to meet your deadlines.

Senior Project Manager

We’re looking for a Senior (integrated) Project Manager to join our team here at RY. This is a brilliant opportunity to join our award-winning independent creative agency in the heart of Shoreditch. The key role of the Senior Project Manager is to deliver large and mid-size projects to the requirements of the client brief, on time, on budget and to the highest quality standards. Project management is the engine of the agency, responsible for balancing the need for exceptional quality with project profitability. Without brilliant senior project managers navigating clients through complexity to get to a place where they are delighted with the outcomes, we can’t meet our strategy or build our reputation.

Designer

We’re looking for an imaginative, driven Designer to join our Investor Engagement creative team. This is a unique opportunity to join our award-winning independent creative agency in the heart of Shoreditch.

You will be integral to the design team delivering standout creative for a diverse and exciting range of clients. Responding to client briefs with expertise and original ideas that help influence and connect. Working within brands, across multiple disciplines; including corporate reporting, employee engagement and digital communications, the role will incorporate both ideas and execution.

Responsibilities include

- Hands-on implementation of projects assigned to them. Produces creative and original ideas with appropriate themes that accurately answer the brief and connect with the audience.

- Participates in creative meetings suggesting original and interesting solutions.

- Supports colleagues on the development of multi-touchpoint communications, to help originate brave work.

- Accompanies Senior Designer/Design Director to client meetings as and when required. Asking relevant questions which help define and broaden the brief.


Mid-Weight Designer (Integrated)

Responsibilities include

- Hands on implementation of creative projects. Producing creative and original ideas with appropriate themes that accurately answer the brief and connects with the audience.

- Developing and executing ideas across a varied spectrum of communication channels, and ensure that these are visually consistent and aligned with the overall creative direction. This role will be working across brand engagement (which encompasses anything from brand transformation to employee engagement and customer engagement campaigns.)

- Participate in brainstorming and concept generation workshops. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the project lifecycle to originate work.

- Attending client meetings as and when required, dependent on size and complexity of the client.

- Lead projects with minimal input from Design Director, but understand when and how to get them involved.

Business Development Executive

Our business development team are responsible for driving growth for RY. They have the skills to take our business objectives and strategy and translate that into new revenue.

They map prospective clients, identifying where there may be appetite for our services and the budget to procure them. They engage intelligently to ensure we are an agency of choice for our prospects, then working with our strategy and client services teams to win pitch opportunities. We're looking for a Business Development Executive to be the growth partner for one of RY’s offer areas, generating a pipeline of opportunities and helping the business develop these into client relationships.

Responsibilities include

- Ensure opportunities are in-line with company growth goals and qualified against RY’s strategic, commercial and operational requirements.

- Ensure that we can articulate why a prospect should choose RY, rather than one of its competitor set.

- Help instill a best practice approach to new business within RY.

- Have an in-depth knowledge of our integrated approach and breadth of offer, articulating that in a clear and compelling way.

- Research and assess new opportunities to promote RY services, such as conferences, exhibitions and networking events which we can attend to promote RY.

Senior Designer

We are looking for a Senior Designer to join our Birmingham Office, in the heart of The Jewellery Quarter. RY Birmingham have a variety of exciting clients from large multinationals, FTSE 100’s to AIM listed companies, spanning a number of sectors, who we deliver print and online projects for. The Birmingham team provide a more tailored and agile approach focused on clients’ needs and have the flexibility to adapt to the clients many challenges and varying requests. As a senior designer, you’ll be comfortable pitching and presenting, you’ll love collaborating with other Designers and Project Managers and enjoy working across print (literature) and marketing communications.
