As a fully integrated player in paper and packaging, Mondi has the scale and resources to embed sustainability across its products and processes. However, as sustainability-issues have continued to gain momentum, it was finding that a one off deep-dive report wasn’t suitable for answering all audience queries. So, there was an opportunity to join the dots on Mondi’s leading work in the sustainable development space with the growing interest from key audiences.
Using the insight gained from the 2018 report, we identified the need for a digital-first approach for generalist audiences, who typically access the report on their mobile device. This year’s report features a digital-first landing page where audiences can find a mobile-friendly version of how Mondi is tackling the big issues from climate change, to the SDGs and TCFD, as well as deep dive disclosures in line with GRI standards and an SDG index.
With the addition of a short ‘teaser’ film to promote the launch of the report, information was available in a range of formats, tailored for audiences. Mondi is known for its award-wining, innovative approach to reporting and the 2019 sustainability reporting marked a further step in accessible, relevant reporting as well as a transparent, connected and coherent performance narrative.
