We created belief…

in the Appeals Centre Europe by empowering people to challenge content decisions on social media

Navigating the tricky landscape of social media platforms

Appeals Centre Europe is a newly formed Dublin-based independent body established to resolve disputes on social media platforms following the Digital Service Act (DSA); an EU regulation adopted in 2022 that addresses illegal content, transparent advertising and disinformation. Appeals Centre Europe aims to help individuals by reviewing social media governance disputes, ensuring social platforms adhere to people's rights and uphold standards. But in a crowded and noisy digital landscape, the challenge was to engage users directly in a way that felt accessible and appealing, while reflecting the authority and expertise in a trusted independent board.

Giving every user a voice

We created a striking new visual identity that positions Appeals Centre Europe as a trusted and authoritative organisation, providing a powerful platform for individuals to voice their claims. The dynamic quote marks play a central role, functioning as both the main logo and a flexible element to highlight key features and services. The identity features a bold and distinctive colour palette that creates real standout against competitors and serves as strong unifier across all digital applications.

Ushering in a new age of empowerment

With its new impactful and recognisable logomark, the Appeals Centre Europe is now fully equipped to live up its important mission of creating an accessible, expert and transparent content moderation service. It will champion a new age of empowerment for social media users and reaffirm the freedom of expression and human rights for individuals and communities across Europe.
