“Mondi Group has pushed the boundaries of what best practice in sustainability reporting looks like. The report provides a comprehensive review of Mondi’s approach to sustainability, which is viewed as core to its success, and its performance across ten Growing Responsibly Action Areas.

Detailed information appears simply by touching an icon in each section. In this way, each action area is clearly linked to changing stakeholder needs and the impact of the action area on the business, including financial aspects. There is a detailed analysis of the opportunities posed by climate change.

The judges felt this report went beyond the traditional remit”

This was just some of the feedback that Mondi Group’s Sustainability Development Report received at last night’s CorpComms Awards, where it won Best Sustainability Report – the fourth award in 2019 in three competitions!

It comes just days after it was awarded first place for Most Effective Integration of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) in the FTSE 100 at the IR Society Best Practice Awards. The judges felt that the report “demonstrated that sustainability was clearly a board priority and at the heart of company strategy. Judges acknowledged a well-integrated report with good use of case studies and useful materiality section.”

Earlier this year, Mondi Group was also awarded Gold in the FTSE 100 printed report category and Silver in the Best CSR or ESG report category at the Corporate & Financial Awards. This awards programme celebrates and showcases excellence in financial communications and provides recognition for the efforts of staff, companies, agencies and beneficiaries.

Ashleigh Gay, Director of Sustainability at Radley Yeldar, said:

“We’ve worked with the team at Mondi Group for many years on their sustainability and integrated reporting. They consistently strive to communicate Mondi Group’s financial and non-financial performance in a credible and compelling way. Ultimately, the award-winning reporting suite continues to be a model for striking a balance between the needs of specialist and generalist audiences.”

We’re thrilled to see a report we’re so proud to have worked on receive this level of recognition from such respected organisations.

Huge congratulations to our clients, the team and the rest of the winners from the awards shows.
