Our website for UK
construction group
Sir Robert McAlpine
led the evolution of
its corporate brand,
changing perception
as well as presentation.

The challenge
Sir Robert McAlpine is a leading UK construction company founded in 1869, operating in the building, civil engineering and related maintenance markets. Its existing website was over seven years old and the company decided that it required a complete rethink. It was looking to the website to lead an evolution of the corporate brand that would see the company move into the modern day both in terms of the presentation of itself and the perception the world at large has of the company.

Our solution
Through an ordered process of discovery and scoping, RY walked the key stakeholders through the stages of developing a full website brief and, by attending and presenting at board level meetings, RY ensured buy-in and continued support for the website development. RY developed the core proposition 'Every building tells a story' which helped steer the project throughout the design stages by testing and trialling designs against this overarching goal. Moving into build the HTML templates were integrated into RY's own CMS, Content Matter.
