An innovative website
for global media group
Pearson that engages
with its customers and
enables easy, interactive
access to the group's
vast content.
The challenge
Global media group Pearson needed a new website which would pull
together in one place all of the video content produced across the
group. In order to do this, Radley Yeldar created a virtual world,
Pearsonville, which would allow a very broad global audience to
navigate through and easily find the existing content that they
need. The site was designed to reuse all of Pearson's existing
videos, but there was a requirement to have something that would
clearly explain who Pearson are and to give visitors an
introduction to the new Pearsonville site.
Our solution
We created a fully interactive 'world' that users can navigate
through, viewing videos to see how Pearson's products and services
touch people at every stage of their lives. The 'world' otherwise
known as 'Pearsonville', is an interactive 3D environment, a
virtual town built to reflect real life. The town has commercial,
residential, educational and leisure districts, which the user can
explore. Whilst reflecting a real town, Pearsonville has also been
built to reflect all the areas of Pearson's business. Rich video
content, much of which was created by Radley Yeldar's moving image
team, provides an insight into Pearson's business areas.
