Our UX team is growing at a rapid pace. Our service offer is widening and as a result we need solid UX practitioners to help drive the right thinking and the right culture. As part of a Digital Leadership Team the Experience Design Director will be instrumental in driving the necessary changes across the agency in order to establish a ‘digital-first’ and user-centric approach to solving client challenges.

The focus of the role is to drive and deliver UX excellence and strategy on RY client projects and to shape a new model for Experience Design at RY, identifying the most effective solutions to client challenges.

Responsibilities

- Provide high value User Experience and User Research consultancy and strategic recommendations to our clients

- Leads and participates in client and internal idea & solution development sessions bringing well researched insight to stimulate discussion

- A strong team leader, who brings the best out of any team and client they work with, including the ability to create collaboration between cross-functional teams and stakeholders even when views conflict.

- Successfully influences and implements process change and improvement. Is capable of driving adoption of change across the business.

- Responsible for shaping the Experience Team according to the types of projects we get, being decision making voice when it comes to finding / hiring new talent and restructuring the existing team.

- Innovate new solutions, products and processes to meet client challenges that demonstrate our capabilities and stretch client thinking.

- Excellent internal stakeholder management skills, with the ability to gain support and necessary resources to deliver quality and process improvements.

- Understands that the best ideas can come from anywhere or anyone.
