We're looking for a brilliant Artworker to join us at ry to help create and deliver high quality print, screen and online communications for complex projects, across multiple delivery channels. This is an ideal role for someone looking to take the next step up in their career.

The Production team at ry are responsible for the artwork, quality assurance and delivery of printed collateral from RY, as well as the creation of screen and interactive presentations, online publications, templates, brand and online assets, with a primary focus on corporate reporting. Our goal is to be a valued, versatile and trusted team, which consistently delivers brilliant work for our clients, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating, amending and producing accurate, technically-sound on and offline artwork and assets, utilising the most applicable software.
  • At the briefing stage, or during a task, ensuring full understanding the context of what is required and pro-actively querying any potential issues, or ask for extra information if needed, with the Project Manager, Proofreader or Designer.
  • Be regarded in the business as a ‘Solution Provider’: a ‘go to’ person within the department, providing expert technical advice and solutions (based on practical experience) to project managers, designers, consultants and colleagues in the Production team.
  • Contributing to Production process reviews to help develop and implement new and improved processes to make our offer more robust and efficient.
  • Ensuring all artwork requirements are completed accurately and on time, to meet deadlines, occasionally working a longer shift if the workload is particularly heavy.
  • Undertaking regular training in new technologies and skills as required, such as Wdesk and CtrlPrint.
Requirements:
    • You’ll have an expert level of competency in publishing software, including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat (including interactive PDFs).
    • An excellent communicator and team player, with a strong ethic of collaboration, self-management and accountability.
    • Has some experience of producing large, complex publications or campaigns, managing workload over multiple tasks to tight delivery proof deadlines.
    • Champion and adhere to defined Production processes, but are naturally inquisitive and always look to improve quality and efficiency wherever possible.
    • You are resourceful, versatile organised and keep calm and resilient under pressure, and can maintain clear, open comms with your team at all times.
